Monlam Pilgrimage 2009 - 50th Anniversary, Kathmandu









At the monastery of late H.E. Chogay Rinpoche, Jamchen Lhakhang. Jamchen Lhakhang is currently being cared for by Rinpoche's three grand-nephews: H.E. Chogay Shabdrung Rinpoche (studying in Sakya College), H.E. Gar Shabdrung Rinpoche, and Ven. Thagyal Lama.



Facing Jamchen Lhakhang, is the great majestic Bodhnath Stupa, which Rinpoche gave the story of how it came about.

His Holiness Sakya Trizin planted a young Saffron tree, in the call for "Care for the Environment" in Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buddha Shakyamuni, the fourth Buddha of this fortunate Golden aeon of 1000 Buddhas.
